Hawker Beechcraft's global customer support group now has an exclusive arrangement with Rockwell Collins for Pro Line 21 synthetic vision (SV) upgrades as well as for the avionics maker's new Pro Line Fusion retrofit capability for Hawker Beechcraft aircraft. Available in late 2012, the SV kit is expected to be available first for the King Air line of twin turboprops and then for the remainder of the Pro Line 21-equipped. A further upgrade from Pro Line 21 to Rockwell Collins' new Pro Line Fusion platform is expected to be certified and available to all Pro Line 21-equipped aircraft, with a target price of $300,000 installed. The initial platform will be the King Air 200, which will feature three 14in touch screen displays in landscape format. The arrangement makes Hawker Beechcraft the launch customer for Pro Line Fusion and gives the airframer leverage on third-party modification providers as the upgrade is only available through Hawker Beechcraft.
