Universal Avionics has revealed Vision-1+, a new synthetic vision system (SVS).

The product will be available in 2012. The Vision-1+ is an expansion of the company's original SVS, Vision-1, said Universal Avionics.

Advancements to the original product include runway depiction, new high-resolution terrain database and extended runway centerline, the manufacturer added.

Vision-1+ runway symbology includes threshold and identifier information, plus a 7.5nm (13.9km) extended centerline to assist in orientation in the terminal area.

The terrain and runways are presented in 15 arc-second data resolution worldwide with three times the coverage of 6 arc-second data in the vicinity of airports, the company added.
