Pratt & Whitney has entered a deal with US-based SkyWest to support the PW1217G engines that will power the carrier's future fleet of 100 Mitsubishi MRJ regional jets.
The deal would also cover the 100 MRJs that SkyWest has on option should the airline decide to obtain these aircraft.
The MRJ is expected to conduct its maiden flight before the end of 2013.
