L-3's avionics systems unit has been selected by Cessna Aircraft to provide its GH-3900 series electronic standby instrument system as standard equipment on the Citation Ten business jet.

With this contract win, the L-3 equipment is now standard on 10 Cessna platforms.

The Textron-owned airframer is to begin Citation Ten deliveries in 2013.

Designed to replace conventional electromechanical standby instruments, the GH-3900 series renders cues on a three-inch display, with combined flight and navigation data provided in an EFIS-like arrangement that is intended to facilitate sustained control and safe navigation if primary avionics fail.
