Embraer's second Phenom 300 light jet made its first flight on 5 August from the Brazilian airframer's Gavião Peixoto plant. At the controls were pilots Jeirgem Prust and John Sevalho Corção and flight-test engineer Leandro Bigarella.
Embraer's vice-president of executive jet programmes Henrique Langenegger says: "The Phenom 300 programme is steadily moving forward. The first and the second aircraft are key pieces for the certification campaign." The first Phenom 300, which made its first flight in April, has completed ground vibration tests, says Embraer, and is undergoing performance checks to define the final aerodynamic configuration.
