Florida-based Aeronautical Engineers has completed the first passenger-to-freighter conversion under the newly introduced Boeing-licensed third-party supplemental type certification programme. The converted aircraft, a 21-year-old 737-400, is the first for Turkish cargo carrier MNG Airlines. It will be operated on scheduled cargo flights between Istanbul, Paris, London and Cologne. MNG's second 737-400SF is undergoing conversion and due to be delivered in the early summer, says AEI.
