Aeroméxico Connect, a subsidiary of Aeroméxico and launch customer of Embraer's E-Jets in Brazil, has taken delivery of an Embraer 190 aircraft.

The new aircraft, the first of four to be delivered to the airline, is to be operated under a leasing contract with GE Commercial Aviation Services (GECAS). It can carry 99 passengers in a dual-class configuration – 11 executive and 88 in economy class.

The acquisition of the new aircraft is part of the fleet renovation and expansion programme of the airline.

Aeroméxico Connect operates 27 Embraer ERJ 145 jets on regional, domestic and international markets out of Monterrey International Airport, in Mexico.
