Embraer completed "cold soak" tests of its Phenom 100 very light jet on 14 April as part of a planned 600h of maturity trials for the fourth test aircraft.

The Brazilian airframer says results were "very positive" as engines, systems, batteries and doors were tested for 12h at a temperature of -40°C (-40°F).

The first three Phenom 100s continue to take part in certification testing in Brazil, having completed vibration, stall, flight quality, performance, automatic flight control system and other tests.

Embraer plans to complete its certification work on the twinjet and begin deliveries sometime in the third quarter this year. The first customer Phenom 100 is in the final pre-assembly stage, says the company.
