Guimbal's Cabri G2 made its UK debut at Helitech with one of the 27 of the type currently flying. Company founder Bruno Guimbal is a former Eurocopter engineer, and the Lycoming O360-J2A-powered, 100kt (185km/h) two-seater clearly shows its heritage in the empennage, with its Fenestron shrouded tail rotor. Other advance features include an all-carbon structure, main rotor head fully articulated on elastomerics and lightning-protected electrical harness. Guimbal is also in a 51:49 joint venture with Eurocopter, Vertivision, dedicated to development of unmanned helicopters.
