Images from the scene of a take-off accident involving an Iran Air Fokker 100 at Tehran Mehrabad Airport earlier this month show that the aircraft's left wing and part of its fuselage were destroyed by fire. The aircraft was a 17-year old example, registered EP-IDB, which was owned by the airline. It suffered the accident while departing on a domestic service to Shiraz. None of those on board the aircraft at the time are thought to have been injured. The circumstances of the accident, which took place in snowy conditions, are still unclear.
