Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) says one of its aircraft veered off the runway at Islamabad airport on 8 August.

FlightRadar 24 shows that the aircraft was an Airbus A320-200, registered AP-BLA, was operating flight PK-451 from Islamabad to Skardu when it developed hydraulics problems and had to return to Islamabad.

The aircraft landed at 13:35 local time.

“After safe normal landing the aircraft could not be stopped on the runway and veered off,” confirms the carrier.

There were no injuries, but images show that the aircraft’s right engine took damage.
