Saudi Arabian low-cost start-up carrier Sama has revealed its livery following the formal branding of the new airline, which plans to begin services this summer (pictured below).

Sama, which unveiled its colours in Riyadh yesterday, will operate a fleet of Boeing 737-300 aircraft on routes within Saudi Arabia and across the Middle East region.

Its indigo livery represents the colours of the desert sky, says the carrier, while the geometric pattern results from a desire for the design to be simple, modern and stylish.

On the forward fuselage the name of the airline is carried in Arabic on the left and English on the right, with an accompanying logo showing a single star.
