Russian flag-carrier Aeroflot's latest Sukhoi Superjet 100 has become the first domestically built type to carry the livery of a global alliance, as the airline's sixth example emerged in SkyTeam colours.

Superjet 95013, which will be registered as RA-89005, was handed over to the carrier at the beginning of this month.

Sukhoi plans to start delivering the twin-engine aircraft to customers outside of Russia and the CIS this year, with 10 bound for Mexico's Interjet, Lao Central Airlines - formerly known as Phongsavanh - and Indonesia's Sky Aviation.

It claims 12 customers on its order book for the type, comprising a total of 168 aircraft, of which 113 are in the domestic and Asian regions and 55 are orders gained elsewhere through its marketing joint venture Superjet International. Armavia, which took the first example, has been operating the type for nearly a year.
