Etihad Airways has rolled out its latest Airbus A320 in a special colour scheme to celebrate its title sponsorship of the inaugural Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix next year.

The International Aero Engines-powered A320 (A6-EIB) - one of six the airline is acquiring for short-haul services from its Abu Dhabi base - has been painted black with the image of a red F1 car together with the official race title logo on the rear and the "Formula 1" logo on the engines.

Etihad has four A320s in service, the first three of which are CFM International CFM56-powered - one ex-Air Canada aircraft leased from US lessor KJ Aviation Services and two ex-Air Malta aircraft from International Lease Finance. The fourth aircraft (pictured) is one of three V2500-powered A320 being acquired from Martinair.
