Pictures have begun circulating on internet forums of the subtly changed Virgin Atlantic livery, which is scheduled to be unveiled officially this month.

The new aircraft, pictured on an Airbus A340-600 exiting from the airframer's facilities in Toulouse, features a new font on the fuselage and sees the distinctive purple stripe on the tail abandoned in favour of a deeper red. The aircraft is temporaily registered F-WWCH but is expected to receive the new registration G-VRED at the 'Virgin Red' hand-over.

The new livery matches the livery proposed for Virgin America, which also features a white fuselage.
