Raytheon Aircraft is working towards the launch of a light mid-size business jet derivative later this year. The aircraft would fit between the Hawker 450XP light jet and mid-size Hawker 850XP, and compete against the Bombardier Learjet 45 and Cessna Citation XLS. Raytheon launched development of the all-new Hawker 450 light mid-size jet in 2000, but subsequently dropped the programme because of the protracted development of its super mid-size Hawker 4000.
