Malaysia Airlines is set to sell off a number of widebody aircraft as it restructures its network and fleet.

Industry sources familiar with the situation tell Flightglobal that the carrier has started marketing some Boeing 777-200ERs and Airbus A330-200 Freighters to potential purchasers.

Reports that it is also planning to sell or lease out its six A380s have not been confirmed.

An official from the airline tells Flightglobal that the airline intends to "approach the market to dispose some assets," but would not be drawn on which types would be sold.

Malaysia Airlines has four A330 freighters as well as 13 passenger A330s, plus 13 777-200ERs, according to Flightglobal's Ascend Fleets database.
