Rolls-Royce has signed a memorandum of understanding with Singapore Airlines to enhance its service to the carrier.

"The MoU will see Singapore become a centre for Trent 900 delivery and service support, and in the future, a centre for Trent 1000 delivery and service support," says Rolls-Royce.

"This is part of enhancing Rolls-Royce service capabilities to provide round-the-clock support for aero engines as part of its support package for Singapore Airlines. The enhanced services support will include providing on-wing care for Trent 800 and 900 engines already in service and in future, Trent 1000 and XWB engines."

Rolls-Royce produces engines at a factory in Singapore's Seletar Aerospace Park.
