South African Airways (SAA) will extend its Johannesburg-Accra flights to Abidjan in the Ivory Coast on 17 August, operating the service twice weekly.

It will also add twice weekly flights from Johannesburg to Brazzaville in the Republic of Congo on 13 September.

SAA will deploy Airbus A330-200 aircraft on the service to Abidjan and A319 aircraft for flights to Brazzaville.

According to Innovata schedules, no other airline operates flights between Johannesburg and Abidjan. However, SAA will compete with Interair on the Johannesburg-Brazzaville route.
