Saudia will start operating direct flights from Saudi Arabia to Madrid on 29 October.

At present, the carrier operates four weekly flights that link its home nation with the Spanish capital via Milan.

From 29 October, the frequency will reduce from four to three weekly, but there will be no stopover at the Italian city.

On the new route between Saudi capital Riyadh and Madrid, Saudia will make a stopover at another Saudi city, Jeddah.

The airline will deploy Airbus A320 narrowbody on the route.

Innovata schedules show the airline to be the route's sole operator.
