Dubai Aerospace Enterprise’s chief corporate development officer Rashid Al Malik has resigned from his post at the diversified Middle Eastern aviation company.
Al Malik had been one of the most senior members of the DAE management team. The company says he has “chosen to leave to pursue other opportunities”.
DAE is yet to identify a successor. Al Malik, formerly a pilot with Emirates, was appointed to his position in 2006 and, at the time, was also being listed as DAE’s deputy chief executive.
“As a United Arab Emirates national he is keen to support the future growth of other opportunities,” says DAE senior vice-president for marketing Munther Juma.
“He has already done this by playing a pivotal part in establishing DAE, which is becoming a true force in the aerospace sector and which will play a central role in Dubai’s emergence as a 21st century aviation hub.”
