Singapore air show organizer Experia has announced a number of new exhibitors for the show’s sixth edition, which will run from 6 to 11 February 2018.

At a media briefing, Experia managing director Leck Chet Lam highlighted Boom Supersonic and Honda Aircraft, amongst other new exhibitors including IHSE Asia, WEARE Group and Wright Brothers Science and Technologies Development.

It expects over 1000 companies to participate, similar to the number in 2016, with about 70% being returning exhibitors.

The line-up for its static display is yet to be firmed, but Leck discloses that Bell Helicopter’s 505 Jet Ranger X will be showcased for the first time in Asia.

Several conferences and forums will also be held in conjunction with the show. The Singapore Airshow Aviation Leadership Summit will again be the primary event, running from 4 to 5 February.

There is also the A*Star Aerospace Technology Leadership Forum, which will share insights on the directions of research and development in aerospace, as well as the Singapore Aerospace Technology and Engineering Conference.

Several business forums will focus on the growth of aviation in Asia Pacific, aviation cybersecurity, emerging technologies and innovation, as well as the disruptive autonomous sector.

“As technology innovation and digitalisation continue to disrupt the industry, my team and I are focused on curating the latest technologies, products and innovations to feature at the air show,” says Leck. “This ensures that it remains not only relevant, but also addresses the key challenges and trends of tomorrow to give visitors a rewarding and enriching experience.”
