Striking pilots at Spirit Airlines plan to resume flying on 18 June after carrier management and the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) reached a tentative agreement 16 June.
Pilots officially began the strike on 12 June, and Spirit's flights have been grounded since that time.
The carrier's ALPA unit earlier confirmed the tentative agreement, but also explained additional details needed to be resolved regarding important return to work issues.
Spirit in a statement says it is resuming operations on 18 June, and a ratification vote on the agreement by the full ALPA membership at the carrier is scheduled for July.
Commenting on the result of the mediated talks that resumed on 15 June, the head of Spirit's ALPA unit Captain Sean Creed says: "I am pleased that we were able to fashion a constructive solution to our differences that will allow us to resume serving our customers."
Carrier chief Ben Baldanza is offering an apology to customers whose travel was disrupted by the strike, and says Spirit looks forward to earning back their trust.
Baldanza commends the pilots for working hard to "get a mutually favourable deal that allows the company to grow while improving their wages and benefits".
