Singapore Technologies Aerospace has delivered the world's first Boeing 767-300 converted freighter under the Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) programme.
All Nippon Airways Cargo took delivery of the aircraft, registration JA8286, on 16 June during a ceremony at ST Aero in Singapore.
This is the first of seven 767-300BCFs ANA Cargo has on firm order and it plans to assign the aircraft to All Express (Allex), a new express cargo company that begins operating on 2 July, says ANA senior vice-president cargo marketing and services, Kiyoshi Tonomoto.

Allex will initially be based at Tokyo Haneda and Osaka Kansai airports, but by the end of next year will shift base to Naha airport on the southern Japanese island of Okinawa, he says.
ANA chose Okinawa to be the main base because all of south-east and north-east Asia is within 4h flying range, he says.
ST Aero is the only suppler permitted to perform 767 passenger-to-freighter conversions under the BCF programme, but Boeing vice-president for commercial aviation services, Louis Mancini, says if there is strong demand in future for 767-300BCFs, then some conversions might be performed at Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services, a maintenance, repair and overhaul company that Shanghai Airlines and Boeing are establishing at Shanghai Pudong International airport.
