Sukhoi has unveiled its design for a double-deck airliner bigger than the Airbus A3XX. Sukhoi is displaying a 1/24th scale model of the 860/1,000-seat KR-860. The four-engined aircraft is equipped with two widebody cabins, the main deck featuring a 12-abreast triple aisle configuration while the upper deck has a nine-abreast layout with two aisles. Entry is facilitated either through conventional fuselage doors or forward and aft ventral escalators. The wing design incorporates winglets and a fold outboard of the outer engine.
