Visitors to today’s Aircraft Interiors show will have the opportunity to listen to a number of thought leadership presentations on delivering better interiors for aircraft.

Kicking-off at 13.00, Allan Nelmes, manager of the seats supply chain at Qantas Airways, will investigate how to better manage the seat supply chain. Nelmes will demonstrate how Qantas is currently reviewing what the current strong performance means for the airline and how suppliers and airlines can work effectively to achieve success with aircraft capital programmes, as well as achieve effective product support into the future.

At 13.30 Howard Guy, managing director of Design Q, shares an insight into the approach to Cathay Pacific’s new interiors from the initial concept through to prototype development. According to Guy, the brief of ‘Asian spa meets Funky Savile Row’ was interpreted as an ideal opportunity to create a relaxed and tranquil experience for the sophisticated business or first-class traveler, as well as enhancing the environment of economy class for a consumer that is far more design-award now than ever before.

For the final session of the day at 14.30, Peter Tuggey, chief commercial officer of AeroMobile will address the business case, technical and commercial challenges associated with the delivery of cellular products into the airline industry.
