Turkish start-up carrier Izmir Hava Yollari has signed an agreement to acquire three Bombardier CRJ900 regional jets and two Dash 8 Q400 turboprops in a deal that also includes five options. The options are tentatively for CRJ900s, but could be adapted to the new Bombardier CSeries jet if required, establishing Izmir as the first operator to make a public commitment to the proposed 110- to 130-seat airliner family.
