United Airlines expects to receive its first Boeing 787-8 from the manufacturer in September, according to an employee bulletin.
The Chicago-based carrier's first of the type will be line number 45, which is registered N27901 and manufacturer's serial number 34821, according to Flightglobal's Ascend database.
The 787 will initially be used on flights between Houston's Intercontinental airport and Lagos, Nigeria.
Delivery of the aircraft had previously been reported for between September and November.
