Vietnam Airlines will start a four times weekly Vinh-Vientiane service on 12 January.
The carrier will use ATR 72-500 turboprops on the route, it says.
Flightglobal’s FlightMaps Analytics shows that the airline will be the only operator on the Vinh-Vientiane route.
Vinh is the capital of Nghe An province, located approximately 300km (186 miles) south of Vietnam’s capital Hanoi, while Vientiane is the capital of Laos.
