Mexican low-cost carrier Volaris has applied for approval to launch flights to three US cities from its base at Toluca.

The airline wants to begin service to Denver, Orlando and San Diego, it says in an application to the US Department of Transportation.

Volaris operates Airbus A320 family aircraft and plans to begin flights shortly after it receives approval.

The airline already operates to all three US cities, with service to Mexico City. Volaris also flies non-stop between San Diego and Guadalajara.

Volaris will be the only carrier operating on all three routes, schedules in Innovata show.
