Brazilian airframer Embraer has forecast that China will need 950 new regional jets over the next 20 years.

This consists of 20 aircraft in the 30-60 seat segment, 425 in the 61-90 seat market, and 505 for the 91-120 seat class of aircraft.

The outlook also says that there are opportunities for aircraft of up to 120 seats to help airlines right-size their narrowbody fleets, develop new routes at low cost, add flight frequencies, and reduce emissions.

Embraer has delivered 77 of the 105 firm orders for passenger jets to China.
