The Boeing BBJ3 is making its first appearance at EBACE, as its owner seeks a buyer for a nearly-new corporate airliner.
The BBJ3 - based on the 737-900ER - has been brought to the show by Boeing and Jet Aviation, which designed and installed its interior at its Basel completions centre in 2012.
Meanwhile, Jet Aviation chief executive Dan Clare says Basel has improved its delivery times and become more efficient since going through a "re-engineering" in 2012. "We delivered six airplanes last year, which we were very pleased with," he adds.

The Swiss business aviation services company, which has fixed-base operations and maintenance facilities around the world, is also sensing an uptick in the industry's fortunes.
"So far in 2013, I've been very pleased," says Clare. "It's been better than 2012 across all our lines of business. While Europe was very sluggish earlier this year, it is now firming up and seems to have stabilised. The USA is healthy and we are seeing some recovery there. We continue to see growth in Asia and the Middle East."
Jet Aviation has also been making changes to its FBO network. As well as a programme of refurbishments, it has sold facilities in Düsseldorf and London Biggin Hill but has opened at Berlin, Dubai's new DWC airport and Medina in Saudi Arabia. It has also expanded its Houston FBO and "we expect to have another location in Europe soon", says Clare.
