German charter provider MHS Aviation (stand 749) is unveiling its expanded fixed-wing fleet at EBACE, including its latest acquisitions - two 32-seat Dornier 328-100 corporate shuttles.

The 34-year-old Munich-based company, largely known as a VIP helicopter operator, says it decided to bring in the 328s because of "demand for aircraft to handle larger groups of passengers, a factor which has become particularly noticeable in recent times". The Dorniers, it says, can carry CEOs and directors as well as their teams of employees on European business trips.

Frank Steitz, director of charter sales says: "We see this as a very positive move forward. It means that we can serve a broader clientele and even airlines for AOG support. For the last 12 months we have seen an increase in the demand for group travel of up to 30 passengers."

MHS Aviation operates 11 aircraft, comprising two twin-engined Agusta 109 helicopters with VIP cabin, a Eurocopter AS350 and a Bell 206 Long Ranger. On the fixed-wing side, it operates a Bombardier Learjet 31 and Learjet 55, both medevac-configured, as well as a Learjet 45 and Learjet 60.
