Ruag Aviation has performed its first D-check on a Piaggio P180 Avanti at its facility at Lugano airport in Switzerland.

Both Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A engines were overhauled and reinstalled, says Ruag, in addition to several primary and secondary structural repairs on the aircraft's fuselage.

Interior and exterior refurbishment of the Avanti was also carried out.

In addition to its D-check capabilities, Ruag offers a portfolio of services for the propeller-driven type, including upgrading its avionics to Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 suite.
