Low cost regional carrier
Flybe has unveiled 22 new scheduled routes for next summer, predominantly linking regional points across the
UK.
The expansion sees new routes from the Scottish airports of Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness; Southampton, Newquay and Exeter in the south; Cardiff, Belfast, the Isle of Man, Birmingham and the northern cities of Liverpool, Manchester, Doncaster/Sheffield and Newcastle.
Alongside the new domestic routes, there are new links to Paris, La Rochelle and Rennes in France, as well as Brussels and a second link to theeCroatian city of Debrovnik.
This summer’s new routes comprise:
- Aberdeen to Exeter (daily), Southampton (daily) and Jersey (to be announced)
- Belfast City to Paris Charles de Gaulle (daily)
- Birmingham to Inverness (daily), Newquay (thrice-weekly)
- Cardiff to Edinburgh (thrice-daily), Glasgow (twice-daily), Newcastle (daily)
- Doncaster to Jersey (to be announced)
- Edinburgh to Rennes (weekly)
- Exeter to Brussels (six flights a week), Dubrovnik (weekly), Inverness (daily)
- Glasgow to La Rochelle (weekly), Newquay (thrice-weekly), Paris (twice-daily)
- Inverness to Manchester (twice-daily), Southampton (daily)
- Isle of Man to Liverpool (thrice-daily), Newquay (to be announced)
- Newquay to Southampton (daily)
Flybe chief commercial officer Mike Rutter says: “The latest routes show us cementing our position as Europe’s largest regional carrier in key areas.
“Cardiff, Inverness and the Isle of Man in particularly will benefit from our committed investment into those strategic regional economies.”
