Conversions specialist Genesis Custom Jetliners has opened a sales office in Dubai, headed by former Royal Jet head of business development and strategic planning Bilal Yousuf. Genesis specialises in customised interiors for Airbus and Boeing aircraft.

MEDICAL MOVE

Abu Dhabi operator Prestige Jet has launched a medevac division, Prestige Flight Ambulance, which will cater for the huge market for specialist medical travel and repatriation in the region. This follows the award of a United Arab Emirates' ministry of health tender. PFA will operate two dedicated aircraft, a Bombardier Challenger 604 and Learjet 55.

LEADING THE SHARJAH

One of the world's oldest flight support companies, Calgary-based Skyplan, has established an operation in Sharjah, in the United Arab Emirates.

SEAWINGS EXPANDS

Dubai tour operator Seawings wants to add a 19-seat floatplane to its fleet of three Cessna 208 Caravan amphibians. It will help meet added demand for its services from oil rig operators and for traffic congestion-busting trips between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

ELITE TRAINING

Elite Jets of Dubai has signed a three-year contract with Emirates-CAE Flight Training, under which 20 pilots will be undertaking full-flight simulator instruction at the joint venture business's Dubai facility.

Twinjet jets in

UK operator Twinjet Aircraft has launched a Middle Eastern business Neil Turnbull, formerly of broker Flight Management, has been appointed to run it. Twinjet has operated a Bombardier Challenger 604 from the region since February.
