Daher-Socata is exhibiting its latest version of the TBM 850 at NBAA for the first time. The Elite variant of the nippy turboprop gives operators the chance to reconfigure the cabin from six to four seats in 30min, increasing luggage space. Although the Elite has been seen at other shows, this is the first time it has been presented to the US business aviation community, says senior vice president Nicolas Chabbert.

"NBAA offers us the possibility of presenting our latest TBM 850 model to a large audience that is focused on the use efficient aircraft as corporate transportation tools," he says. "We are seeing increasing interest for the TBM 850 in this role because of its excellent combination of performance and economics."

The TBM 850 is the world's fastest certified single-engine turboprop, with a maximum cruise speed of 320kt at 26,000ft. Since its 2005 launch, more than 280 TBM 800s have been delivered. The combined fleet of TBM 850s and its predecessor, the TBM 700, stands at over 600 units.
