Air New Zealand subsidiary Eagle Air has suspended services on the Oamaru-Christchurch route.
The service will be suspended from 1 January 2010, says ANZ.
Passenger loads on the route have average 45% over the last six months, making the route unviable.Regional carrier Eagle Air operates 18 Beechcraft 1900D aircraft.
