Investigations are underway after a Caribbean Airlines Boeing 737-800 crash landed at Guyana's Cheddi Jagan airport at 1.32am local time on 30 July.

The 157 passengers and six crew on board survived despite the fuselage breaking in two during its landing.

Operating as flight BW523, the aircraft en route from Port of Spain, Trinidad to Guyana.

Initial reports indicate poor weather conditions and visibility at the time of the accident.

According to Flightglobal's ACAS data the airline has eight 737-800s in its fleet.
