Flightglobal enjoyed a bumper night at Sunday's Aerospace Journalist of the Year Awards - the annual Oscars for industry writers - with two winners and a record number of shortlisted entrants.

Niall O'Keeffe topped the maintenance category for an article in Airline Business on MRO providers shifting their priorities, while Flightblogger Jon Ostrower took the air transport award for his coverage of the troubled 787 programme in Flight International.

Those shortlisted included Flight Daily News's 2008 Air Venture Oshkosh newspaper, Flightglobal environment specialist Aimee Turner, Singapore-based editor Siva Govindasamy and Mary Kirby from our US office. O'Keeffe and Ostrower were also shortlisted in other categories.
