Fiji flag carrier Air Pacific plans to launch a weekly service between Apia in Samoa and Honolulu, Hawaii.

The service will commence on 11 September and fly via Nadi, Fiji, says Air Pacific. It will operate a Boeing 737-800 aircraft on the flight.

The new flight will bring Air Pacific's flights on the Apia-Nadi route to three a week.

"Air Pacific's flights to Apia have been successful and the extension to Honolulu is important for both business and leisure travellers," says John Campbell, CEO of Air Pacific.
