Airbus Helicopters has secured a €54.5 million ($59 million) fleet support contract from Taiwan’s National Airborne Services Corps. (NASC).

The five year agreement covers ten AS365 rotorcraft, which are used in the search and rescue, disaster relief, emergency medical services, transportation, monitoring, and patrol missions.

“NASC is the first customer in Asia to take advantage of our newly-redefined services offer, which provides the most comprehensive coverage in the helicopter industry today,” says Derek Sharples, the managing director of Airbus Helicopters Southeast Asia.

“This builds on our long-standing relationship with NASC, during which Airbus Helicopters has delivered on its service commitments over the years

NASC’s AS365 are based Taipei, Taiching, and Kaohsiung.

Flightglobal’s Ascend fleets database shows that the service operates 31 helicopters, with 16 Bell UH-1Hs forming the bulk of its fleet. It also operates a pair of Hawker Beechcraft King Airs.
