Indian carrier Vistara has entered a long term support package with Airbus that will cover its leased fleet of 20 A320 aircraft.

Airbus says that the “flight hour services tailored support package” (FHS-TSP) provides Vistara a range of services, from component MRO to airframe maintenance and engineering. In addition, an Airbus team will be on-site to provide daily maintenance work covering spares, warehousing, line maintenance, checks, and engineering.

Airbus says that this is its first FHS deal in India.

“This latest selection by Vistara re-affirms airlines’ confidence in Airbus’ FHS value and expertise to secure and optimize operations,” says Airbus. “It also marks an important step in Airbus’ FHS strategy to play a major role in the A320 maintenance market by providing innovative and competitive solutions. “

New Delhi-based Vistara is a joint venture between Singapore Airlines and India’s Tata Sons.

Ascend Fleets database shows that Vistara has taken delivery of two A320s and has a further 18 on order. The carrier had planned to commence services in October, but is still awaiting approval from Indian authorities.
