Australia's Strategic Airlines is re-branding itself as 'Air Australia' with new livery that will be rolled out across its fleet.

The carrier's new livery comprises a white fuselage with a green boomerang as well as a green patterned tail. The paint work will be undertaken by MAS Engineering & Maintenance in Subang, Malaysia.

Strategic's CEO Michael James said two of the carrier's A320s have the new livery and two more will receive it when they go for the C-Check at MAS in October and November this year. Ultimately, four of Strategic's six A320s will receive the new livery.

The two A320s operating in Europe will retain the company's existing Strategic Airlines livery. The company now has three A320s in Europe, one of which will return to Australia after the European autumn.

Launch in 2009, Strategic operates services on the Melbourne-Phuket, Brisbane-Phuket, Brisbane-Bali, Brisbane-Port Headland and Perth-Derby routes.
