Yemen flag-carrier Yemenia has firmed up a deal for 10 Airbus A320s following a memorandum of understanding signed at November's Dubai Air Show.
The A320s - four of which will be delivered next year, two in 2012 and four in 2013 - will partly replace three Airbus A310s.
No engine selection has yet been identified for the single-aisle jets.
They will join a fleet of two A330s and four Boeing 737-800s. Yemenia also has 10 A350s on order.
Speaking at the first Bahrain Air Show, Yemenia chief Abdulkhalek Al-Kadi said the latest acquisition was part of a "fleet modernisation leap...which will strengthen our competitiveness."
