Boeing has won an Australian (A$) dollar 55 million ($56.1 million) electronic warfare (EW) support contract for the Royal Australian Air Force's 737-based Wedgetail airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft.
Under the deal, Boeing will provide software development, testing, and repair for the Wedgetail's EW systems.
"Our Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning and Control aircraft will play an important role in providing intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capability for the Australian defence force," says minister for defence materiel Jason Clare.

The work will be undertaken in Australia by a team of 27 engineers and logistics specialists.
BAE Systems will be a subcontractor for the programme.
