One of the biggest stateside names in business jet trading is flying into Europe. Aero Toy Store is opening an 23,000m² (250,000ft²) FBO at London's Stansted airport in time for the 2012 London Olympics, after taking over the Diamond Hangar formerly occupied by SR Technics.

The company is spending $2 million refurbishing the facility, which will offer aircraft handling, parking and completions, the latter in association with Italian automotive designer Pininfarina.

Managing director Mike Foley and colleagues marked the inaugural flight from the new FBO by arriving at EBACE on the company's Bombardier Challenger 601.

Foley says the business will be a "five star FBO targeting VVIPs and large widebody [airliner-derived] jets".
