Embraer has signed a five-year agreement that will see EgyptAir Maintenance & Engineering become an authorised service centre (ASC) for the E-170/190 family.

Under the deal, the new ASC will provide routine checks and scheduled and unscheduled maintenance for EgyptAir Express and third-party E-Jets. It will also have access to the manufacturer's structure-specific repair solutions and extended databases, says Embraer.

In addition, the deal will allow Egyptair's MRO affiliate to handle airframe and warranty issues on behalf of its customers, including EgyptAir Express which operates with a fleet of 12 E-170s, adds the airframer.
