Garuda Indonesia’s MRO arm has appointed Tazar Marta Kurniawan as its chief executive and president.

Kurniawan, who was recently GMF AeroAsia’s acting chief, was confirmed after an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held in late August. He also held a concurrent portfolio as its business and base operations director.

He took helm of GMF in April after his predecessor Iwan Joeniarto left the company for parent Garuda, joining the carrier as its technical and services director.
