The Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force has taken delivery of three Eurocopter EC135 T2i helicopters, bringing its total of the type to five.
The new helicopters are part of an order for 15 EC135s, with the final delivery expected in March 2017.
Japan's navy uses the aircraft for ab initio training. The light twin has a seating capacity of seven to eight passengers.
